Pottery friends, for your information:

This stoneware or porcelain pottery was entirely handmade and decorated by Karen Foster, and was fired to approximately 2300 – 2400 degrees in an electric kiln, or a gas kiln. No two pieces are entirely alike.

This pottery contains no lead or toxic substances, and
is safe for food storage and serving. It is both microwave and dishwasher safe.

Due to the density of the pottery, it is sensitive to abrupt changes in temperature and should be at room temperature before refrigeration or baking. Serving dishes should not be put into a preheated oven. Please do not put cookware on direct flames or heating element.

Here’s a letter from a satisfied customer:
Karen,
I bought a Hoja Santa leaf platter and a bowl from you at the Fall 2008 ArtScape at the Arboretum, to save as a wedding gift for my niece, who is a nature lover like me. I gave them to her at her wedding shower this weekend, and there were SO MANY Ooohs and Aaahs - all the ladies admired them, and everyone read the information I had included in the package (you sent me info about the leaf, the pottery, and how to use the stoneware).

We were unable to attend ArtScape this spring due to a spring break conflict, but I wondered if you were there. Thank you again so much for the beautiful pottery and all the information. I know your work has found a very appreciative home!
